Letters to VIP'S

As part of out planning and organising of the a show we wrote letters to VIPS in the hope that they would attend our special evening. I wrote to the Chiel Executive of the Arts Council of Wales. He wrote back to say he would be thrilled to attend. Gracie Griffiths.

Rock Research

September 30, 2016
We used the ICT room to research rocks. We were amazed by how many different types of rocks there were (chalk, marble, sandstone, talk) We then had to select a rock and prepare an argument claiming our rock as the best by giving reasons. I like marble because it it really hard, pretty and can be used to make statues. Skye B.F.

Summer Term - Creature Comforts

Our topic this term is Creature Comforts.  The class  novel we will be studying is Stig of the Dump.  In our topic work we will be learning about animal welfare and how best to care for them.  We will be studying habitats and food chains in science.  To start off the topic Lily brought in her budgie and Ffion brought in her Giant African Snail.  Take a look at our pictures, one of which shows Shelly our class Giant African Snail.  She is around five years old.  PE continues to be on a Monday ...

Equivalent Fractions

Yummy, scrummy Maths!  We used mini smarties to help us learn all about equivalent fractions. It was great fun and we were even able to eat the smarties once we calculated all the equivalent fractions.

Roman Shields

As part of our topic, Warriors, we enjoyed the challenge of making a replica Roman Shield as part of our home study.
Once they were completed we re-enacted a battle as well as following structions is Latin!
Luckily there were no injuries and all our shields protected us from flying missiles.

We visit our school building site

January 25, 2014
We had a tour of a building site at our own school! We were shown the plans for the new nursery and office as well as learning about how to manage a building project.  We are all very excited about the new changes being made to Trerobart and are really looking forward to our new canteen and playground.
